What materials are your jewellery pieces made from?
Our fashion jewellery collection is made from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel with PVC coating. This makes every piece waterproof, anti-tarnish, and safe for sensitive skin. Our custom fine jewellery is available in 9ct and 18ct yellow, white, and rose gold, sterling silver, and platinum.
Is your jewellery waterproof?
Yes. Our stainless steel fashion jewellery is fully waterproof. You can shower, swim, exercise, and sleep in it without any damage. The PVC coating is also hypoallergenic.
Will the jewellery tarnish?
No. Our stainless steel pieces are anti-tarnish and will not discolour over time, even with daily wear. They require no special care or storage.
Are your pieces nickel-free?
Our 316L stainless steel pieces are nickel-safe — they contain trace amounts of nickel but are below the EU Nickel Directive threshold, making them suitable for most people with nickel sensitivities. If you have a severe nickel allergy, we recommend our fine jewellery in 18ct gold or platinum, which are entirely nickel-free.
Orders & Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Australian orders: standard 3–7 business days, express 1–3 business days. International orders: 5–25 business days depending on destination. All orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days of payment.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free standard shipping on all Australian orders over $80 AUD.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Contact us immediately at contact@stratumstone.com. If your order has not yet been dispatched, we can make changes or cancel it. Once dispatched, we cannot modify or cancel orders.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. International shipping rates and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout.
Returns & Sizing
What is your returns policy?
We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery for unworn, unaltered items in original packaging. Faulty or incorrect items are replaced or refunded at no cost to you under Australian Consumer Law. See our full Returns Policy for details.
How do I find my ring size?
Visit our Size Guide page for a complete chart. The easiest method: wrap a thin strip of paper around your finger, mark where it meets, then measure the length in millimetres. That is your circumference — match it to the chart. Between sizes? Size up.
Custom Jewellery
What is the process for a custom order?
Fill in our Custom Jewellery Enquiry form with your idea and budget. We will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your vision. Our jeweller creates sketches and renders for your approval, then crafts the piece. Delivery typically takes 4-8 weeks.
How much does a custom piece cost?
Pricing depends on the design, metal, and stones chosen. Custom pieces start from approximately $500 AUD. Contact us with your idea and budget and we will give you an accurate quote.
Can I supply my own stones or existing jewellery to be reset?
Yes. We work with customer-supplied stones and can reset existing pieces. Mention this in your enquiry form and we will advise on the best approach.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. We also support Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Afterpay where available.
Is it safe to pay on your site?
Yes. Our site runs on HTTPS with SSL encryption. All payments are processed by Stripe — we never store your card details on our servers.
